Non-profit foundation to benefit students. Created from just one family's donation in 1984, ASF now manages more than $1.6 million in assets and distributes more than $60,000 in annual scholarships. Originally known as the Fidalgo Island Educational Youth Foundation, Anacortes Schools Foundation's mission is to: Grant scholarship awards to students; Assist educators in their professional development; Support educational programs in the Anacortes School District.
