Wholesale Shipping Staff (Anacortes, WA)

Job Description
Key Roles, Responsibilities and Current Priorities
  • Pick, pack, ship & invoice orders for wholesale ensuring that each order meets brand standards    
  • Receiving & stocking of wholesale finished goods in cooler and freezer while ensuring proper rotation
  • Controlling inventory and transfers
  • Record keeping and input of data in the inventory control system
  • Perform cycle counts
  • Prepare bill of lading and coordinate with carriers
  • Scale random weight product and create manifests for distributors
  • Coordinate and move raw material for production
  • Completes and maintains applicable inventory records including Recall Sheets
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wholesale shipping environment
  • Pre-weigh and pack food service product
 
Additional Responsibilities as needed
  • DTC and Made in Washington stores shipping support
  • Warehousing support
  • SeaBear, G&D, and Made in Washington stores receiving support
  • Unloading
  • Inspection of incoming product (including temperature monitoring on fresh and frozen seafood)
  • Cross training as needed
  • Work with production to coordinate movement of finished goods, ingredients and packaging goods
  • Secondary driver as needed (if trained and meet qualifications & requirements)
  • Operating a forklift
 
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office Suites)
  • Problem solving
  • Fast paced and efficient with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to handle a strong workload, prioritize and meet high demand deadlines
 
 
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to stand for up to 2 hour periods at a time for approximately 8 to 12 hours a day.
  • Frequent walking.
  • Full range of motion and ability to frequently lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual and fine finger dexterity to operate functional tools of a forklift, pallet jack, and company vehicle.
  • Exertion of force on or against product.
  • Full range of motion for frequent pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements
  • Stability to stand and walk on wet surfaces
  • Work in freezer up to 30 minutes at a time
 
Work Environment
  •  Facility environment with temperatures ranging from -18ºF to 80ºF
  •  Wet and dry surfaces.
