Major Areas of Responsibility:
The Mechanic Apprentice will partake in a two year (depending on experience) apprenticeship to gain and master the skills necessary with the opportunity to move up to the mechanic position. Mechanic Apprentices will assist Birch Equipment's Mechanics in keeping the fleet of 45,000 pieces of equipment & tools running safely and effectively throughout construction, manufacturing and home improvement season, as well as pro-actively maintaining equipment year-round. 

Essential Job Requirements for All Positions:
- Ability to bend or kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods, ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, sit or drive for extended periods of time, willing to work in the elements
- Computer literate, Experience with Windows based software 
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check
- Drug free, ability to pass pre-employment drug test and random drug tests

Educational Requirements: High School Diploma / GED (Or currently enrolled in high school) 
Licenses Required: Valid WA State license in good standing 

Skills Desired:
- Punctual - Good communication - Attention to detail - Self-Starting - Excellent driving skills - Ability to follow directions
