“Exploring the Salish Sea Floor”: Why do marine birds, fish, and mammals feed where they do? How do tsunamis and earthquakes impact marine habitats? What efforts can help mitigate sea level rise and human population increases? Understanding the geology, substrate, and topography of the Salish Sea floor may provide answers to these questions. Please come to hear Dr. Gary Greene, Ph.D., marine geologist, and Director of the SeaDoc/Moss Landing Marine Lab’s Tombolo Mapping Lab, Orcas Island, WA, discuss answers to these fascinating and important questions.
